Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Great Day Improvements: A Family of Brands. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for complex carpentry projects, site prep work, and learning the installation of all GDI product lines.

Key Responsibilities:

Review work jacket with supervisor
Review and confirm accuracy of breakout in accordance with customer contract
Perform site prep, including any work needed to modify the existing structure
Carpentary work can include deck modifications, dormer installation, overhang cutoffs, wood knee wall builds, wall alterations, floor and ridge plates, and finish carpentry work
Simple and complex decks
Demolition
Layout and cut all materials to install the job
Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work site
Install All View, ComfortView, and Solarium products
Layout and build complex wood roofs
Complex carpentry duties such as dormer attachment, fascia removal, fascia attachment, structural remodeling, and rehabilitation work
Performs service work
Collect necessary stage payments from customer when applicable
May be responsible for set up, take down, and repair of displays used for various outside marketing events
Must possess the ability to manage themselves, the crew, and our customers.

Requirements:

At least five years experience in carpentry, preferably in remodeling with three to five years in a lead role
Working knowledge of concrete, electrical, plumbing, roofing, siding, and metal break work
Ability to use various hand and power tools, build simple decks, etc.

Performance Expectations:

Post Installation customer service survey, top score 90% or better
Online reviews, 10% of jobs installed
Capable of installing all GDI products-AV, CV, solariums, blinds, shades, awnings, and building simple decks
Capable of complex carpentry (i.e. wood roofs, knee walls, and prime doors)
