Family Medicine Specialist

Located in Chula Vista, California, Family Health Centers of San Diego is seeking a highly skilled Family Medicine Physician to join our esteemed team at the Chula Vista Family Health Center.

Key Responsibilities:- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in accordance with departmental standards and electronic medical record requirements, including medication reconciliation, finalizing notes, and participating in the clinic pool.
- Foster a culture of compliance by adhering to FHCSD policies and procedures, such as submitting credentialing and licensing paperwork promptly, maintaining BLS certification, and participating in mandatory meetings.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism, encompassing effective listening and communication skills, respectful interactions with colleagues and patients, and adherence to organizational behavioral expectations.
- Meet or exceed minimum productivity requirements, as outlined by the organization.
- Promote excellence in peer reviews by assessing medical information, facilitating health promotion, and disease prevention.
- Contribute to a reliable and flexible work environment by prioritizing tasks and adhering to schedules, while also participating in clinical outcomes programs and working towards meeting organizational targets.
- Board certification or eligibility in a Primary Care field
- Experience in managing large pediatric patient populations is essential, while experience working with underserved, low-income persons, or homeless individuals is preferred.
- Strong ability to communicate effectively with diverse social, cultural, and economic groups
- Current American Heart Association healthcare provider CPR (BLS) certification or equivalent
- DEA license
- Graduate from an accredited school of medicine
- Unrestricted medical license to practice in the State of California
- Proficiency in Spanish is required
