Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Daycare Teacher to join our team at BEACH BABIES LEARNING CENTER L. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in fostering the intellectual, psychological, and physical growth of our young students.

Responsibilities
  • Welcoming Children: Greet arriving children, help them settle in, and ensure they are unpacked and comfortable.
  • Curriculum Development: Select engaging and developmentally appropriate morning activities that promote learning and exploration.
  • Lesson Planning: Establish clear objectives for all lessons and projects, and communicate those objectives to the children.
  • Classroom Preparation: Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment.
  • Activity Leadership: Organize and lead activities designed to promote development, such as games, arts and crafts, music, and storytelling.
  • Observation and Evaluation: Observe and evaluate children's performance, behavior, and social development, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Staff Development: Participate in staff development activities, parent education, and parent involvement activities, staying up-to-date on best practices in early childhood education.
  • Parent Communication: Meet with parents and guardians to discuss their children's progress and needs, suggesting ways they can promote learning and development at home.
  • Administration: Enforce all administration policies and rules governing students, maintaining a safe and respectful learning environment.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Previous experience as a daycare teacher or childcare provider.
  • Child Development Knowledge: Strong understanding of child development principles and practices.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Patient, kind, and nurturing, with excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Certifications: First aid/CPR certified, a plus.
