Job Title: Analytical Chemist

We are seeking a highly skilled Analytical Chemist to join our team in the R&D Metrology Lab. As an Analytical Chemist, you will be responsible for performing analytical testing, establishing and driving continuous improvement of laboratory processes, and maintaining and troubleshooting laboratory equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform analytical testing based on established methods and support ongoing laboratory operations
  • Establish and drive continuous improvement of existing laboratory processes, analytical methods, documentation, and training materials
  • Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and regularly update standard operating procedures
  • Assist in the development of new methods to evaluate current and next-generation products
  • Perform validation studies on new and existing methods to ensure reliability and repeatability of data
  • Collect, interpret, and review experimental data regularly with the analytical team
  • Successfully apply test results into scientific principles, theories, and concepts for each project
  • Use critical thinking and problem-solving to determine project outcomes
  • Collaborate and participate in cross-functional teams as an analytical subject matter expert
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in chemistry or related technical field
  • Knowledge and demonstration of proper safe handling of materials, and the ability to maintain a clean and safe workspace
  • Knowledge of analytical chemistry, statistical analysis, Lean Six Sigma principles, and process improvement
  • 0-3 years of lab experience using analytical instrumentation, to include ICP-MS, GC-MS, LCMS, LPC, etc.
  • Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team to complete lab work safely and efficiently
  • Ability to manage time effectively and multi-task
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Drive to continuously learn
