Position Overview
The Business Systems Analyst plays a pivotal role in supporting the essential functions of financial and operational applications within the healthcare sector. This role is responsible for the implementation, administration, and ongoing support of assigned systems, working under the guidance of senior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced support for application incidents, including on-call coverage as necessary.
- Assist junior team members in resolving application issues and enhancement requests.
- Collaborate with various IT teams to ensure seamless application support.
- Implement changes in accordance with established procedures and departmental policies.
- Mentor junior staff in documenting workflows and processes.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, translating technical concepts into business terms for effective communication across teams.
- Lead initiatives for software upgrades and new installations.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation detailing technical specifications, user expectations, and deliverables.
- Identify opportunities for application improvements and collaborate with vendors to design effective solutions.
- Proactively anticipate and resolve system issues through independent analysis.
- Facilitate team meetings and maintain accurate meeting records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field such as Computer Science or Information Systems is required.
- Relevant application certifications are preferred.
Experience Requirements
- A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in a related field is required.
- Experience with major system implementations or upgrades is preferred.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on motivation and positivity.
- Ability to analyze complex systems and workflows effectively.
- Capable of managing major programs and functions within the department.
