About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Epidemiologist to join our team at WVU Medicine. As an Epidemiologist, you will be responsible for studying and coordinating infection prevention and control practices within all hospital departments and clinics.
Key Responsibilities
- Study, coordinate, and evaluate all infection prevention and control practices within all hospital departments and clinics
- Provide continuing education to all hospital personnel on current trends and changes to improve infection prevention and control standards
- Assist, supervise, and coordinate hospital activities related to disease transmission with emphasis on education and patient care issues
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in nursing, public health, epidemiology, clinical laboratory science, medical technology, or related field
- Current unencumbered licensure with the WV Board of Registered Professional Nurses or appropriate state board where services will be provided
- Certification in Infection Control and Epidemiology (CIC) preferred
