Position Overview:

Soliant is seeking a dedicated and passionate School-Based Rehabilitation Therapist to become a vital part of our educational team. The selected individual will be responsible for delivering comprehensive rehabilitation services to students, aiding them in reaching their physical capabilities and improving their overall academic and social engagement.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Analysis: Conduct detailed assessments of students' physical capabilities, mobility, and requirements to create personalized treatment strategies.
  • Therapeutic Services: Provide direct rehabilitation services to students with physical challenges, including therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, and mobility enhancement.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with educators, school personnel, and families to incorporate rehabilitation objectives into students' educational plans and facilitate their involvement in school activities.
  • Program Design: Develop and execute therapeutic programs customized to each student's unique needs, aligned with their Individualized Education Program (IEP).
  • Record Keeping: Ensure accurate and timely documentation of student progress, therapy sessions, and assessments. Prepare and present necessary reports.
  • Advisory Role: Offer support and training to school staff on methods to assist students with physical challenges and foster an inclusive educational environment.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Follow all applicable federal and state regulations, along with school policies and procedures regarding rehabilitation services.

Required Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Doctorate or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Current state licensure in Physical Therapy is mandatory.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a school environment is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities. Capable of effectively engaging with students, families, and educational staff.
  • Knowledge Base: Familiarity with state and federal regulations concerning special education and rehabilitation services.
