Job Title: Emergency Department RN

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join our team at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital.

Job Summary:

This is a travel nurse opportunity for a Registered Nurse to work in the Emergency Department at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department and be certified in ACLS, BCLS, NIH, and PALS. The nurse will work 36 hours per week, with every other weekend coverage. The hospital is a teaching hospital with a total of 402 staffed beds.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care in the Emergency Department
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure effective patient care
  • Manage patient flow and prioritize tasks to ensure efficient use of time
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices
Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department
  • Certification in ACLS, BCLS, NIH, and PALS
  • Ability to work 36 hours per week, with every other weekend coverage
  • Ability to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity
