About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) team at Lockheed Martin. As a key member of our Avionics organization, you will be responsible for developing flight software for the missile system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and test software for the FBM program
  • Collaborate with a team of Guidance Navigation and Control (GNC) and software engineers to develop mission-critical GNC subsystems
  • Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements, design, code, test, and maintenance
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software, or related discipline or equivalent years of experience
  • Experience in processor and microprocessor firmware (non-OS based)
  • Experience in processor firmware and software (OS based) - software drivers and firmware wrappers
  • Willing and able to obtain/maintain a DOD clearance, thus US Citizenship is required
Desired Skills
  • Understanding of missile or satellite software systems
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent team orientation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills with management and peers
