Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Ascension Providence in Waco, Texas. As a Mammography Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality imaging services to our patients, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.

Responsibilities
  • Operate mammography equipment and perform various procedures to produce high-quality images.
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging, ensuring accurate and safe procedures.
  • Explain procedures and educate patients about the importance of regular mammography in preventive breast health.
  • Develop and evaluate images for technical quality, following radiation safety guidelines.
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS.
  • Maintain a clean and organized department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
  • Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), with completion of a 40-hour mammography training course and 25 supervised mammography studies within 3 months of hire.
  • Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist Certification Program.
  • Preferred: Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Mammography.
Education
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience, or Associate's degree/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience.
