Job Summary

As a Cardiac Ultrasound Specialist at CommonSpirit Health, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care by producing two-dimensional cardiac ultrasonic recordings to evaluate the anatomy and hemodynamics of the heart, its valves, and related blood vessels. Your expertise will be essential in diagnosing and studying malfunctioning organs, and you will work closely with physicians to ensure optimal diagnostic quality of patient test results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform ultrasound procedures, stress echo's, bubble studies, and contrast echo's to obtain accurate and detailed images of the heart and its structures.
  • Assume responsibility for the safe, efficient, and proper operation of ultrasound equipment, adhering to department protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Keep abreast of FHS standards, protocols, and procedures relating to the department, and demonstrate evidence of continuing education through department meetings, individualized learning opportunities, and related classes.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited diagnostic ultrasound/echo sonography program with a high degree of proficiency, knowledge, and acuity in the field of diagnostics or ultrasound.
  • Current registration by ARDMS or current certification by Cardiovascular Credentialing International as a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS).
  • Current healthcare provider BLS Certification.
