Role Purpose Statement

The Maintenance Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our facilities by providing essential maintenance and repair services.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist in supervising daily area/department activities in the Centralized Service Center (CSC)
  • Conduct daily work group meetings to promote collaboration and open communication
  • Assist with scheduling and controlling employees to meet labor productivity and overtime targets
  • Ensure compliance with government regulatory agencies' standards, including the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Environmental Protection Administration (EPA), Department of Transportation (DOT), and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP)
  • Document and follow up on all department processes to maintain accuracy and efficiency
  • Ensure the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, and directed
  • Guide and motivate employees to achieve their full potential
  • Participate in coaching and performance discussions with supervisors to promote employee growth and development
