Job Title: Automotive Dealership Payroll/ Finance Manager

Salary: $75,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will lead and direct the routine functions of the Payroll and Accounting Department, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in payroll processing. Key responsibilities include hiring and managing staff, reconciling benefits, navigating ADP software, and working with department managers to ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform a combination of accounting duties, including payroll oversight and reconciliation.
  2. Direct staff in maintaining procedures and systems necessary for proper records and financial services.
  3. Coordinate with department managers to ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time.
  4. Oversee benefits, reconciliation of statements, cobra administration, termination of benefits.
  5. Input and maintain payroll updates.
  6. Ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  7. Resolve payroll errors.
  8. Review and monitor time sheets given by department managers.
  9. Issue spiff checks.
  10. Manage PTO accruals.
  11. Provide proactive problem-solving support to the management team and other staff.
  12. Daily oversee the financial Line of Credit and Pays off flooring.
  13. Monitor and maintain corporate cash management function.
  14. Work with management to forecast cash flow needs and optimize cash position.
  15. Oversee accounts payable and receivables.
  16. Direct the Company's credit policies, procedures, and collection activities.
  17. Maintain and inspect for compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  18. Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls.
  19. Reviews the reconciliation of general ledger accounts with outside sources.
  20. Prepare information for tax planning and reporting.
  21. Assist in the selection of vendors and other third-party relationships.
  22. Responsible for review of and adherence to contracts and other contractual relationships.
  23. Recruit, interview, hire, and train new staff in the department.
  24. Oversee the daily workflow of the department and provide performance evaluations.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
  • A minimum of two years of payroll experience required.
  • ADP Workforce Now experience preferred.
  • At least two years of CDK experience preferred.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (at least 5 years' experience).
  • A minimum of two years of automotive dealership experience required.
