Warehouse Logistics Specialist

Job Title: Forklift Operator

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team at SFI. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating a forklift to move materials and products within our warehouse.

Responsibilities:

• Operate a forklift to transport materials and products within the warehouse.
• Read production schedules, customer orders, and work orders to determine items to be moved.
• Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequences.
• Maintain proper FEFO staging at all times to ensure all items are staged in the order in which they expire.
• Process and distribute requisitions, work orders, requests for materials, or other stock items to other departments.
• Label materials with barcodes containing identifying information on inbound receipts.
• Record amounts of materials or items received and/or distributed on count sheets and picklists.
• Weigh or count items for distribution within the plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
• Perform weekly cycle counts of assigned areas.
• Complete daily forklift checklists at the beginning of each shift.
• Report any damage to forklifts, equipment, or product to supervisors immediately.
• Submit requests to supervisors for any needed maintenance or repairs on forklifts.
• Ensure that all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed.
• Follow all company policies and procedures as well as the GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices).

Requirements:

• Must be able to pass a 7-year criminal background check.
• Minimum of 2 years of previous stand-up forklift experience is required for this position.
• Ability to work overtime, irregular hours, or rotating shifts.
• Excellent organizational skills as well as multi-tasking skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with basic office equipment.
• Must understand numbers and apply basic statistics.
