Southerleigh seeks a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaning Professional to join our kitchen team. As a key member of our crew, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our commercial kitchen space.

Job Summary:

We are looking for someone who can work independently with minimal supervision, maintain a high level of attention to detail, and follow established cleaning protocols to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are met.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced kitchen environment where you will be responsible for washing pots, pans, and trays, silverware, removing trash, sweeping and mopping floors, washing worktables, walls, and refrigerators. Additionally, you will assist line cooks with prep, storage, and dating food.

Responsibilities:

  • Wash and sanitize all kitchen equipment and utensils
  • Remove trash and recyclables from the premises
  • Sweep and mop all floors daily
  • Wash down walls, refrigerators, and worktables
  • Assist line cooks with food preparation and storage

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1+ years of experience in a commercial kitchen setting
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
  • Basic math skills and ability to handle cash and credit transactions

Working Conditions:

This position requires working in a fast-paced kitchen environment with exposure to heat, noise, and chemicals. You must be able to work well under pressure and maintain a clean and safe workspace at all times.

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $18-$22 per hour, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for advancement and professional growth. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
