Personal Support Specialist

Job Summary

The Personal Support Specialist will provide direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living. This role requires a strong command of the English language and the ability to follow oral and written instructions with precision.

Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
  • Assist residents with instrumental activities of daily living, such as using the telephone and light housekeeping
  • Respond to resident call lights promptly
  • Perform scheduled resident activities as assigned
  • Accurately document care provisions or changes in resident statuses

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must:

  • Be 18 years of age
  • Commit to obtaining PSS certification within 120 days of hire
  • Provide proof of immunization/immunity to MMR, Varicella, Influenza, and COVID
  • Have a strong command of the English language
