Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the surgical team in the operating room, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies, adhering to infection control policies and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in the perioperative phase of patient care, expediting surgical procedures under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure proper orientation and knowledge of equipment and instrumentation.
  • Maintain inventory of clean and sterilized surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies, adhering to established policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
  • Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Less than 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting.
