Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Database Architect to lead the strategy, architecture, and process improvements for data architecture and data management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database performance tuning, data security, and data management solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the strategy, architecture, and process improvements for data architecture and data management, balancing long and short-term needs of the business
  • Define and maintain a data information architecture and roadmap
  • Provide architectural advice and recommendations specific to internal customer requirements
  • Design, document, construct, and deploy database architectures
  • Evaluate data management solutions and create improvement plans
  • Evaluate emerging technologies against business and strategic needs
  • Integrate technical functionality (e.g. scalability, security, performance, data recovery, data backup, data retention, data accuracy, reliability, etc.)
Requirements
  • At least one complete cycle of building a platform product from inception to large-scale technical implementations
  • Expertise and demonstrated skills in design and implementation of an enterprise data model, metadata solution, data security solution, data management solutions, and associated tools
  • Expertise in Data Warehousing, Data Management, Big Data, Analytics technologies such as Oracle, Teradata, RedShift, or Hadoop
  • Solid skills in multiple areas of technology such as system design, database design
  • Solid skills in Internet technologies such as IaaS, PaaS, SaaS
  • Advanced expertise in Analytics and working understanding of technologies such as R, SAS, Tableau, Microstrategy
  • Expertise in high-volume, transactional environments with third-party business system integrations
  • Strong ETL background using technologies such as DTS, SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services), command line, and other technologies
  • 10+ years of technical, enterprise, or data architecture experience
  • Strong database design and development experience working in collaboration with full-stack developers and analytics teams
Preferred Qualifications
  • Data Management Certifications such as CDP, CDMP
  • Experience in NoSQL technologies
