Job Summary:

Custodian II is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment at Clayton County Public Schools. This position requires a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of experience in commercial facility cleaning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleans classrooms, restrooms, offices, and dining areas.
  • Maintains cleanliness and sanitary conditions of assigned school or location.
  • Operates commercial custodial equipment and maintains its cleanliness.
  • Assists with district emergency and general assignments as operationally necessary.
  • Completes custodial inventory counts and orders supplies as required.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least one year of experience in commercial facility cleaning.
  • Familiarity with computer applications (Word, Google email).
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently and 100 pounds occasionally.

Working Conditions:

This is a variable work environment that involves school grounds, buildings, and a range of weather conditions. The position may require on-call duties after normal working hours and in emergency situations.
