Job DescriptionThe Department of Medicine at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is seeking a full-time Academic Clinician at the Instructor level or higher to join the Integrative Medicine Service. The successful candidate will practice integrative medicine consultation within the setting of a major cancer center, with a special emphasis on patient-centered and evidence-based lifestyle modification, mind-body medicine, and herbal and supplement consultation.
Key Responsibilities- Clinically evaluate and manage patients with a wide range of physical symptoms and psychological symptoms using an integrative medicine approach
- Provide evidence-based advice on lifestyle modifications, including exercise, nutrition, sleep, and stress management
- Recommend integrative approaches for symptom management, such as acupuncture, massage, and meditation
- Communicate with other physicians involved in the patient's care to maintain consistency and quality of care
- Participate in collaborative research to strengthen the evidence base for integrative medicine
- Contribute to the teaching mission, including supervising Integrative Medicine fellows, medical residents, medical students, and advanced practice providers
- M.D., D.O., or equivalent with excellent clinical, communication, and team skills
- Board eligible or board certified in internal medicine, family medicine, or Med/Peds
- New York and/or New Jersey State license eligible
- Certification in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Child Abuse Identification & Reporting
- Research, education, or clinical practice experience related to integrative medicine
Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center offers a competitive salary range of $140,000 - $400,000, based on multiple variables.
