Youth Counselor

Overview

Youth Homes - Montana is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Counselor to join our team. As a Youth Counselor, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive environment for youth in our care.

Key Responsibilities

• Advocate on behalf of youth in our program, ensuring their needs are met and their rights are respected.
• Serve as a positive role model, promoting healthy relationships and a sense of belonging among youth.
• Teach essential life skills, including emotional regulation, communication, and problem-solving.
• Assist youth in accessing community resources, such as education and healthcare services.
• Collaborate with Child Protective Services (CPS) workers to refer youth to additional services and support.
• Initiate, coordinate, and facilitate meetings regarding youth, documenting these meetings to ensure continuity of care.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver's License
• Solid moral character
• Physical, mental, and emotional competency to care for youth
• Good general health
