The purpose of the Recreation Therapist Assistant is to provide individualized activity care and services for residents in a post-acute care setting. Job Summary
The Recreation Therapist Assistant will work directly with residents to promote socialization and community involvement. This role requires a team player who is energetic, passionate, and creative, with a focus on delivering individualized activity care and services. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and conducting a variety of activities, including arts and crafts, games, and other recreational programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized activity plans for residents
- Plan, organize, and conduct a variety of activities, including arts and crafts, games, and other recreational programs
- Provide individualized activity care and services to residents
- Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to promote resident-centered care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident activity participation
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Prior work/life experiences, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Prior experience preferably with related software applications
- Basic computer literacy and skills
- Must be able to plan, organize, and conduct a variety of activities
