The primary responsibility of this role is to traverse a designated area to identify and report any issues related to signage and lighting. The following outlines the key responsibilities and expectations:

  • Conduct regular vehicle patrols along a predetermined route to assess the maintenance needs of signage and lighting systems.
  • Document any outages or issues by capturing photographs and noting relevant details in accordance with established protocols.
  • Utilize mapping tools to pinpoint the locations of signs and determine the specifics of any outages or service requirements.
  • Evaluate the extent and nature of outages or service concerns and communicate findings to the supervising authority.
  • Share information with relevant departments, store managers, and property owners as necessary.
  • Plan and optimize travel routes to ensure comprehensive coverage of the assigned area while maximizing efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs of observations and actions taken.
  • Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance on company vehicles when applicable.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Support the Night Patrol Supervisor with various tasks.
  • Create maps to assist technicians and contractors in locating outages.
  • Deliver necessary parts as required.
  • Engage in other duties as assigned.
Work Environment:
  • Daily interactions with supervisors, service personnel, and sales staff to discuss potential service leads and issues.
Qualifications:
To excel in this position, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill each essential duty effectively. The following qualifications are necessary:
  • Less than a high school diploma or up to one month of relevant experience or training.
  • A valid state-issued driver's license in good standing.
  • Capability to read and understand simple instructions and correspondence.
  • Ability to write basic correspondence.
  • Effective communication skills in one-on-one and small group settings.
  • Proficiency in interpreting safety regulations and operational manuals.
  • Competence in driving a vehicle.
  • Ability to engage in face-to-face communication.
  • Visual acuity to see from a distance.
