Cupping Press Technician Position Overview

The Cupping Press Technicians at Crown Cork & Seal USA, Inc. work in a dynamic environment with 12-hour shifts for four days followed by four days off.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect coils and load them onto the unwinder and feed coils through lubricator and into press.
  • Setup, maintenance, and operation of the upender, unwinder, lubricator, and cupping press.
  • Setup, maintenance, and operation of the body makers, trimmers, and conveying systems.
  • Enter can specifications, including flange wall thickness, mid-wall thickness, dome depth, and trim can height, into the computer system.

To ensure compliance, perform visual checks and cup weights, taking necessary measures when required.

Additionally, assist in other areas as needed to maintain smooth can flow through the plant, complete required paperwork and documentation, and maintain cleanliness of all work areas and machines while practicing proper safety procedures.

We are looking for candidates with working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics, basic electrical component understanding, and precision measurement device usage skills.

Estimated Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000 per year
