Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist PRN to join our team at HCA Florida West Hospital. As a Medical Technologist PRN, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality laboratory testing and analysis to support patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform complex laboratory tests and procedures in specialty departments, including Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Blood Bank, Serology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, and Microbiology.
  • Conduct microscopic, immunologic, biologic, bacteriologic, hematologic, and chemical tests and analyze results to provide data for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.
  • Receive and process specimens, and maintain accurate records of test results and quality control measures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve instrument problems, and perform instrumentation repairs as needed.
  • Train new employees and/or students on laboratory procedures and protocols.
  • Participate in phlebotomy and accession responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Sciences.
  • Medical Technologist (MT) registry or eligibility.
  • ASCP or equivalent certification preferred.
  • US Citizenship required.
