Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Truck and Equipment Technician to join our team at DeAngelo Contracting Services. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance of vehicles and equipment to ensure they are in top working condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and Maintenance: Perform repairs and maintenance on diesel and gasoline equipment, including trucks, tractors, and other heavy machinery.
  • Inspections and Diagnostics: Conduct regular inspections and diagnostic tests to identify worn and damaged parts, and recommend repairs as needed.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Complete preventive maintenance schedules to ensure equipment is in good working condition, and identify potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Shop Safety: Maintain a safe and clean work environment, and ensure all equipment is properly stored and secured.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure all repairs and maintenance are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical education in mechanics preferred.
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in heavy truck repair and maintenance, with a focus on diesel and gasoline equipment.
  • Skills: Strong mechanical skills, with the ability to diagnose and repair complex problems; excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Certifications: Class B CDL preferred; welding and fabrication experience a plus.
