Responsibilities
  • Provide basic therapeutic, restorative, and preventive care to residents with common health problems
  • Contribute to resident assessments and care plans, collaborating with the healthcare team
  • Interact productively with physicians, families, residents, and other department personnel
  • Supervise and evaluate unlicensed personnel assigned to work with you
  • Perform duties effectively with minimal supervision, practicing within the legal definition of the California Licensed Vocational Nurse Practice Act
Requirements
  • Current licensure by the California Board of Vocational Nurse and Psychiatric Examiners
  • One year of experience as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in an acute care setting is desirable
  • Two years in long-term care with prior charge nurse experience preferred
