The Role

We're seeking a skilled IC CAD engineer with expertise in custom design tools and methodology. This includes, but is not limited to, custom design construction, spice simulation, physical verification, parasitic extraction, and LEF generation. The ideal candidate will configure vendor tools, ensure tool precision, and provide support to users throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Setup and support custom design tools and flows
  • Develop Calibre rule decks
  • Setup abstract and LEF generation flow
  • Verify vendor tool accuracy
  • Create user documentation and provide training
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in Virtuoso, SKILL, and PDK
  • Experience with spice simulation tools, such as Spectre, Primesim, and etc.
  • A strong understanding and practical experience in physical verification, including LVS, DRC, ERC, antenna checks, dummy fill, and PERC, utilizing Calibre
  • Proficiency in ICV is advantageous
  • Solid understanding and practical experience with LEF format, as well as abstract and LEF generation tools and workflows
  • Experienced in scripting with Perl, Tcl, and Python
  • Knowledge in transistor-level and gate-level StarRC extraction is advantageous
Academic Credentials

BSEE or MSEE or equivalent and relevant work experience
