Tenet-Alabama is currently in search of a Surgical Technologist to join our dedicated team.
Role ResponsibilitiesThe Surgical Technologist plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures. Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining aseptic technique and preparing the necessary equipment, instruments, and sterile supplies for assigned surgical cases.
- Assisting during surgical operations by scrubbing in and passing instruments and equipment as required.
- Preparing and breaking down surgical cases, ensuring the operating room is ready for upcoming procedures.
- Being available for on-call duties as scheduled, in accordance with unit needs.
- Performing additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor when necessary.
Education: Must be a graduate of a surgical technician program as mandated by state regulations.
Experience: While no prior experience is required, candidates with at least one year of experience as a surgical technician are preferred.
Certification: Current BLS certification is required. Surgical Technology Certification is preferred.
