Job Summary:

We are seeking a Cafeteria Monitor to join our team at Richmond Public Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a positive and safe environment in the school cafeteria, ensuring that students and staff have a pleasant dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise students in the cafeteria, promoting a respectful and orderly atmosphere.
  • Assist with tasks such as wiping tables, picking up trays and silverware, and cleaning up spills.
  • Encourage good table manners and report any incidents or accidents to the appropriate authority.
  • Work effectively with students, staff, and other stakeholders to maintain a positive and efficient cafeteria environment.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and productively in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions:

The Cafeteria Monitor will work in a school cafeteria environment, with frequent standing, sitting, and light lifting required.
