Job DescriptionAs a Medical Support Associate, you will play a vital role in supporting our nursing staff and ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing direct and indirect patient care under the direction of nursing staff
- Communicating and interacting with patients and families, physicians, peers, and other healthcare members
- Precepting new team members and orienting patients to the hospital environment
- Participating in unit quality improvement initiatives
To be eligible for this role, you must have a High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate and a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification. You should also be able to lift, move, and load objects weighing 30-50 pounds.
Benefits and CompensationOur comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off. The estimated salary for this position is $17-$20 per hour, based on the national average for similar roles in Maine. With an estimated 32-40 hours worked per week, the annual salary would be approximately $35,000-$43,000.
