Position Overview

Franklin Companies is in search of a dedicated individual with a background in memory care and therapeutic recreation to fill the role of Life Enrichment Assistant. This is a Full-Time position with a schedule of 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend shifts. Compensation will be based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage directly with residents to support their physical and mental well-being, encourage socialization, and facilitate meaningful activities. This includes providing both individual and group activities, often requiring on-the-spot improvisation to meet residents' needs.
  • Assist in creating printed materials such as activity calendars and promotional flyers.
  • Actively promote and exemplify the principles of person-centered care, including validation therapy, resident empowerment, and integrating daily living activities into structured programs. Encourage residents to participate in programs they enjoy.
  • Support residents during outings, ensuring their safety and engagement outside the facility.
  • Assist in organizing special events, including family gatherings and seasonal celebrations.
Qualifications:
  • At least one year of experience working with older adults, particularly those with Alzheimer's disease and related conditions.
  • A minimum of a high school diploma; coursework or training in therapeutic recreation, gerontology, or related fields is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team, with strong task prioritization skills.
  • Possession of a clean driving record.
  • Basic proficiency in computer skills.
