Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team at Staker Parson Companies. As a Construction Laborer, you will be responsible for performing various construction tasks to support highway, utility, and grade crews.

Key Responsibilities
  • Highway Laborer:
    • Prepare ground surfaces for road construction
    • Operate equipment such as compactors and rakes
    • Set up safety barricades and markings
    • Assist with asphalt application and clean-up
    • May operate heavy machinery
  • Utility Laborer:
    • Excavate trenches for pipes and utility lines
    • Guide pipes into place and connect them
    • Utilize laser level and other equipment
    • Operate heavy machinery if trained
  • Grade Laborer:
    • Assist with groundwork and concrete cutting
    • Replace sewer/manhole covers
    • Operate equipment as required
  • Crusher Laborer:
    • Perform machinery maintenance and repairs
    • Set up and take down crusher machinery
    • Keep work area clean and orderly
  • Plant Laborer:
    • Participate in safety meetings
    • Assist in plant production and maintenance
    • Operate heavy equipment as needed
  • Other Duties:
    • Use various tools and equipment
    • Deliver construction materials
    • Perform clean-up tasks
    • Assist with flagging and traffic control
    Requirements
    • Educational background and construction experience preferred
    • Ability to read and comprehend instructions
