About the Role

The Patient Access Representative is a vital member of our team at Women's Care, providing exceptional customer service to our patients and visitors. As the first point of contact, you will be responsible for collecting information for registration, updating patient profiles, and ensuring a smooth experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors, guiding them to the appropriate areas as needed.
  • Obtain and confirm patient demographics, updating patient profiles in our electronic medical records system.
  • Collect payment and assist patients with minor billing concerns.
  • Scan pertinent information into our EMR system, ensuring HIPAA compliance.
  • Respond to non-medical patient inquiries and concerns.
  • Demonstrate and embody the Women's Care mission and core values.
  • Comply with all HIPAA rules, regulations, and guidelines.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting, preferably in an OBGYN environment.
  • General knowledge of medical terminology is ideal.
  • Preferred experience working with an electronic medical records system, such as eCW.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Deadline-driven and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to multi-task in a high-volume and dynamic atmosphere.
  • Ability to communicate and work efficiently with patients, co-workers, and providers.
  • Dependable, reliable, and punctual.
