We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mammography Technologist to join our team at Emory Healthcare. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of exceptional healthcare services.
About the RoleAs a Mammography Technologist, you will be responsible for evaluating and implementing the care of adult and geriatric patients undergoing mammography and breast-related invasive procedures. Your expertise will be essential in assessing patient needs, prioritizing imaging needs, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and implement patient care plans for mammography and breast-related procedures
- Assess patient needs and prioritize imaging needs
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care
- Practice radiation protection techniques and minimize patient and staff exposure to x-radiation
- Notify supervisors of safety issues and ensure continuity and quality of care
To be successful in this role, you must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology and registered with the ARRT. Additionally, you must have a minimum of two years of experience in mammography, with advanced certification in mammography required. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association is also necessary.
