Job Description:

As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and customer service. Our pharmacy technicians are the face of our company, interacting with customers and developing strong relationships with our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, under direct supervision, in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Process prescriptions, including retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs, verifying medicine is correct, and checking for possible interactions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, engaging with customers and patients, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Develop strong relationships with most valuable customers, modeling and delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipment of pharmaceuticals.
  • Participate in training and development programs, including earning and maintaining PTCB certification, and completing continuing education credits.
Requirements:
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Prefer good math skills, computer skills, and knowledge of store inventory control.
  • Prefer PTCB certification.
