At JT4, LLC, we provide engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II.

As the Sr Sheet Metal Fabricator, you will interpret engineering drawings and CAD models to help design and build 3D sheet metal assemblies/installations for a variety of aircraft in a fast-paced prototyping environment.

You will work closely with a team of technicians and engineers to modify aircraft with one-of-a-kind instrumentation systems for flight test data collection.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proficiency with sheet metal equipment operation used to cut, drill, countersink, and rivet via a punch press, water jet, brake press, pneumatic tools, etc.
  • Previous experience with aircraft instrumentation or avionics maintenance, involving the modification, evaluation, repair, and documentation of airborne test equipment and mechanical assemblies.
  • Expert skills in interpreting designs from CAD, CAM, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, etc, with an ability to engage in technical conversations with engineering staff in a prototyping environment.
  • Demonstrate an ability to interpret schematics, mechanical drawings, technical publications and build mechanical assemblies from blueprints.
  • Support the Engineering staff and perform any other job-related duties the role may require.
Requirements:
  • A great candidate will have 7 to 11 years of hands-on professional experience.
  • Previous work in an Aerospace or DoD or Government environment.
  • A natural ability to liaison between a technical staff and the engineering team to communicate complex issues in simple terms.
  • A creative ability to extrapolate a completed design from an incomplete draft.

Salary:

The estimated salary range for this position is $91,630.40 to $105,102.40 annually.

Note: The salary range offered for this position is a good faith description of the expected salary range this role will pay.
