As a Nurse Practitioner - Labor and Delivery, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to expectant mothers and their families. Your duties will include:
- Performing plan of care interventions, including medication administration and clinical treatments
- Documenting patient care given
- Monitoring and recording patient condition as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family
- Assisting patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation
- Collaborating with the care team to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs
- Evaluating learning needs of patients and families and providing patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances
- Working as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients
Requirements:
- Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
- Current NM RN license or appropriate compact RN licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) current upon hire
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) must be obtained within 6 months of hire
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring or Advanced Fetal Monitoring must be obtained within one year from hire
- STABLE certification preferred
