We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Psychiatric Nursing to lead our behavioral health nursing team at a state-of-the-art facility in Florida. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for integrating and coordinating patient-centric nursing practices, developing and directing nursing care standards, and supervising a team of nursing leaders.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement nursing care standards and policies that promote excellent patient care and service excellence.
- Supervise and lead a team of nursing leaders, including supervisors, coordinators, managers, and educators.
- Collaborate with the behavioral health leadership team to achieve the organization's mission and goals.
- Participate in the behavioral health administrative on-call rotation.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation and licensure requirements.
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required.
- Florida Registered Nurse required.
- Seven (7) years of progressive leadership and management experience in nursing, with a minimum of three (3) years in behavioral health.
- Board Certification in psychiatric nursing within six months of hire.
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with knowledge and application of advanced professional nursing practice, CQI process, nursing care delivery models, accreditation/licensure experience, healthcare delivery systems, and budgetary processes.
- Fiscal responsibility and ability to prepare operating and capital expense budgets and financial reports.
- Expert communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to interact and interface with all levels of staff and senior management.
- Ability to work independently and in groups to achieve established goals and objectives.
The Pay Range for this position is $125,000 to $160,000, with actual compensation influenced by a wide array of factors, including skill set, level of experience, and specific worksite location.
