Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA) Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement social services programs that meet the needs of our clients
  • Recruit, train, and supervise staff, including mental health professionals and rehabilitation specialists
  • Oversee the implementation of evidence-based treatment modalities, including wellness recovery action plans and trauma-informed care
  • Coordinate referrals to external services and develop educational in-services
  • Provide clinical supervision and oversight of treatment programs
  • Assess and develop Performance Improvement Project (PIP) tools to enhance care delivery

Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts Qualifications:

  • Must meet the definition of a Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts as defined by the Illinois Mental Health Code (LCSW, LCPC, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, PMHNP, LMFT, etc.)
  • At least two years of experience in direct care of individuals with psychiatric disorders
  • Three years of supervisory experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to act decisively and delegate authority
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
