About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety Facilities Coordinator to join our team at Sandalwood Engineering & Ergonomics. As a key member of our Health, Safety & Engineering team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Up-Front design reviews with suppliers to ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert in Safety Engineering, evaluating design of new products, equipment, and facilities
  • Conduct Risk Assessments on various machinery and tooling
  • Define program approach, timing, and deliverables with program team
  • Effectively communicate new initiatives, standards, regulations, and significant incidents to internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide specific health and safety training on various safety topics
  • Coordinate implementation and continuous improvement in safety programs
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety or a related discipline
  • Must be able to work in various locations within assigned region
  • Environment: Typical office and/or manufacturer plant floor facilities
  • Ability to work independently with no or limited supervision
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; organizational skills
  • One to three years' experience in manufacturing with understanding of environmental and safety processes
