Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Service Technician to join our team in Albuquerque, NM. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining solar inverters and energy storage systems at customer sites.
Key Responsibilities- Perform technical assignments involving the installation, operation, testing, and maintenance of solar inverters and energy storage systems.
- Perform general troubleshooting and diagnosis under Sungrow's maintenance and repair guidelines.
- Support and perform pre-commissioning and commissioning of solar inverters and energy storage systems within schedule and work plans.
- Investigate solar plant issues such as DC array grid faults, inverter design issues, and utility grid transients.
- Provide feedback to the engineering and project team on possible mechanical and electrical design improvements.
- Lead upgrade/rework projects (software and hardware) in the field and interact with customers to explain the project's technical scope and manage work schedule and commitments.
- Associate's Degree in an Engineering or Computer Science Discipline from an accredited university or college.
- Renewable industry experience is desired.
- Power Electronics experience is desired.
- OSHA 10 certificate within 12 months of date of hire.
- NFPA 70e certificate within 12 months of date of hire.
- Strong demonstration of workplace safety practices.
- Understands and follows a Safety Plan.
- Comprehend Job Hazard Analysis and conduct level-appropriate Job Hazard Analysis.
- Designated as Authorized Person for LOTO.
- Compliant with environmental safety requirements.
This is a full-time position based in Albuquerque, NM. Travel is required, with 80% or more of the time spent on the road.
