About the RoleThis part-time day shift position is ideal for a nurse who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and is looking for a flexible schedule. As an Ambulatory Care Nurse, you will work closely with our healthcare team to provide comprehensive care to patients in our outpatient settings.
Responsibilities- Assess patient symptoms, reactions, and physical condition, and record data in the medical record.
- Accurately document vital signs and other measures indicated by the patient's condition or diagnosis.
- Provide instructions and educational training on special tests, procedures, or health and lifestyle modifications as ordered by the physician or healthcare provider.
- Assist with procedures and examinations per physician or healthcare provider preference.
- Perform office laboratory procedures, including assisting with collection, testing, handling, transporting, and documenting of specimens.
- Handle all aspects of prescription refills, from retrieving messages to phoning or faxing refills to the pharmacy.
- Assist clinical associates with immunizations, lab draws, blood pressure checks, injections, and other duties as necessary.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A graduate degree in nursing (ADN, diploma, BSN) from an accredited school.
- A minimum of six months current experience in the ambulatory care setting.
- ACLS and NRP certification (for Pediatric Clinic).
