Scientific Research Associate

Job Summary:

Innovative Labs is seeking a highly skilled Scientific Research Associate to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our manufacturing quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for receiving finished goods samples from the production floor and calibrating/documentation of all instruments involved in testing.
• You will organize and distribute samples for microbial, heavy metals, potency, and any other testing.
• You will submit all required outside lab testing to 3rd party laboratories.
• You will perform physical testing of finished goods samples and manage retention samples as needed.
• You will also perform FTIR analysis of raw materials and physical testing of raw materials.
• You will document service performed and maintain records of all quality activities as documented in procedures and test methods.
• You will handle samples and perform analyses according to established procedures and test methods.
• You will sign off on others' work when trained to do so.
• You will maintain and calibrate assigned equipment.
• You will report deficiencies or malfunctions to the supervisor or manager.
• You will identify, record, and correct nonconformities.
• You will identify and record improvements.
• You will improve laboratory and/or quality activities on a continuous basis.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Prior laboratory experience preferred

• Competitive base salary: $$42,000 - $60,000 per year

Work Environment:

The performance of this position may occasionally require exposure to the manufacturing areas which require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection.
