- Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts
- Employment Type: Travel Nursing
Compensation: $2,476.00 per week
Medical Specialty: Emergency Department
Standard Shift: Nights
Weekly Schedule: 3x12
Shift Timings: 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM; Thursday to Wednesday
The ideal candidate must:
- Reside at least 60 miles from the healthcare facility.
- Demonstrate the ability to identify and manage life-threatening situations.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of nursing principles and deliver high-quality patient care.
- Assess patient needs across clinical, educational, mental, and spiritual domains.
- Recognize safety concerns for themselves and others, employing safe patient handling techniques.
- Thrive in high-pressure environments and exhibit strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Exhibit leadership qualities, including prioritization and delegation skills.
- Possibly take on charge nurse responsibilities.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with excellent organizational skills.
Experience: Critical care and charge experience are preferred. A minimum of one year of acute care nursing experience is required, although entry-level candidates without Emergency Department experience may be considered.
Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
Certifications: Current NYS RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications are mandatory. PALS certification is required or must be obtained within six months of hire. Successful completion of the lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation and defibrillation certification within six months of employment are also required. IV, medication, and phlebotomy certifications must be completed during orientation.
Preferred Experience: Previous hospital RN experience is highly desirable.
