Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts collaborative rounds with the healthcare team to deliver pharmaceutical care aimed at achieving optimal therapeutic results.
- Reviews patient medication profiles to ensure appropriate drug selection, dosage, administration route, and frequency.
- Identifies and resolves existing drug-related issues while developing strategies to avert potential drug-related complications.
- Oversees all aspects of pharmaceutical care provided to patients.
- Enhances systems and processes to guarantee the safe, precise, and timely delivery of pharmaceutical care.
- Guides pharmacists through educational initiatives to bolster their understanding of suitable pharmacotherapy practices and patient monitoring.

- Manages the human resources within the program to meet talent requirements, including recruitment, scheduling, performance assessment, and professional development opportunities.

- Performs additional duties as reasonably assigned.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION: Required: Graduate from an accredited College of Pharmacy; Advanced degree in Pharmacy and/or completion of a residency in a hospital pharmacy accredited by the American Society of Health.

EXPERIENCE: Required: A minimum of three years of experience as a pharmacy technician OR three years of experience in prior authorization and/or copay assistance programs OR a combination of three years in pharmacy technician roles and prior authorization/cost assistance experience.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING: Required: Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy (BCOP) must be obtained within one year of hire; Current license to practice pharmacy in North Carolina, or eligibility to secure a North Carolina pharmacy license within two months of hire.
