Position Overview:

The Community Van Operator plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective transportation of individuals to various appointments and activities. This position is vital for supporting community members in accessing essential services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate the community van, ensuring all passengers wear seat belts at all times.
  • Maintain a smoke-free environment within the vehicle.
  • Promptly report any safety concerns regarding the vehicle or passengers, as well as any breaches of transportation safety protocols.
  • Possess knowledge of local mental health programs, service providers, and supported housing options.

Qualifications:

Candidates should possess a High School Diploma or GED. A minimum of one year of experience working with individuals receiving mental health services in community settings is required. Additionally, ACT 33/34 and FBI clearances, along with a valid driver's license and proof of insurance, must be provided prior to employment.
