Job Description:

This is a full-time opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Structural Welder/Iron Worker to work on various projects, including industrial trade services. The successful candidate will have excellent welding skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Set up hoisting equipment, raise and place structural-steel members, with basic rigging knowledge for raising and placing structural steel members.
  • Fasten steel members to cable of hoist, using chain, cable or rope.
  • Signal worker operating hoisting equipment to lift and place steel members.
  • Guide member, using tag line in order to guide it into position.
  • Pull, push or pry steel members into approximate position while member is supported by hoisting device.
  • Force members into final position, using turnbuckles, crowbars, jacks and hand tools.
  • Align bolt holes in steel member using drift pins or spud wrenches.
  • Verify vertical and horizontal alignment of members using plumb bob and level. Bolt align members to keep them in position until they can be permanently bolted or welded in place.
  • Cut and weld steel members to make alterations using oxyacetylene welding equipment and supplies.
  • Load, transport, unload material, tools, equipment and supplies.
  • May assist in lifting, positioning and securing of materials and work pieces during installation.
  • Perform minor maintenance or cleaning activities of tools and equipment.
Requirements:
  • Work within precise limits to standards of accuracy.
  • Apply shop mathematics to solve problems.
  • Plan work and select proper tools.
  • Compare and see differences in size, shape and form of lines, figures and objects.
  • Picture solid objects from drawings or diagrams.
  • Rate information using standards that can be measured or checked.
Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
