Production Welder

Pace Engineering, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of machined components for the earthmoving, mining, and construction industries.

We are seeking a skilled Production MIG Welder to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to company standards and procedures.
• Preparing work assignments by organizing tools, fixtures, and materials.
• Reading and executing router instructions and associated drawings to meet work requirements.
• Performing pre-heating, MIG, and TIG welding, as well as post-tempering, flame hardening, and quenching using mild carbon and alloy steels to customer specifications.
• Setting up, programming, and operating an oxy-propane burn table to form parts from 0.25 – 2 inch thick carbon steel plate.
• Deburring and cleaning parts to prepare them for the next operations.
• Completing first piece inspection and obtaining Inspector signoff.
• Performing in-process part inspection using calipers, mics, square, and weld gauges.
• Certified in AWS D1.1 Welding.
• Performing production-maintenance activities as necessary.
• Entering daily production job results into data collection.
• Documenting work by signing off on the job router.
• Promoting a positive work environment and leading by example in all aspects of job performance.
• Cooperative with others.
• Other duties as assigned.

The position requires standing continuously for up to four hours, the ability to repeatedly lift up to 40 pounds, and walking throughout a multi-acre site.
