Job Title: Special Education Teacher - Autism Educator
Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in Augusta, GA, for the 2023-2024 academic year.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with autism to ensure their academic, social, and emotional needs are met.
- Utilize evidence-based teaching strategies and interventions to support student learning and development.
- Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and support staff to create a cohesive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and track student progress, making data-driven decisions to optimize student outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
- Valid GA Special Education P-8 Licensure for Middle School positions / Adaptive certification for Elementary positions.
- Previous experience working with students with autism or related developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
- Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
